Outside Sydney’s CBD is the Sydney Cricket Ground, one of the city’s major sporting stadiums.
The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) is one of Australia’s premier sporting and entertainment venues. Thousands of people buy tickets to attend events, including Australia’s favourite, Australian Rules Football (AFL). The SCG opened in 1886, and over the years it has added new stands for the big screens inside the stadium. Today, the SCG can hold 48,000 spectators.
How to get to Sydney Cricket Ground
The SCG is conveniently located close to the city, making it easy to get to and from the grounds via public transport. You can travel on the light rail and the public buses. If you choose to drive, there is parking in the Moore Park precinct, although it is limited.
